Title of the thesis : Synthesis, Microstructural characterization, oxidation and electronic properties of MAB Phases

Thesis presentation:
This PhD thesis aims at the synthesis of MAB phases in which M is a transition element, A is an element of groups 13 to 16 of the periodic table and B is boron. The oxidation mechanisms will be studied by using a thermogravimetric analysis which allows monitoring the weight gain during the oxidation process. In a next step, the electronic transport properties of the synthesized materials will be studied.
